MicroFIT Solar Install - April 2017

I just wanted to drop a quick line to express my gratitude to your organization. I recently had a 10kw solar system installed on my home as part of the microFIT program. From the initial consultation with Matt, who was able to answer all my questions throughout the entire process, he is a consummate professional. Carol took care of all the paperwork and was also available for whatever questions I had, and always added a cheerful "hope you're having a nice day" to her emails. To Tyler and the installers who took such pride and care in their workmanship, always cognizant of the job they are doing is a direct reflection of the Hayter Group. My installation was to say the least challenging, the installers had to deal with extremely steep steel roof, less than perfect weather, yet were able to not only complete the project but made it look great. We had an issue with Hydro One when we finally hooked into the grid, where they did not restore our power until 1 a.m. Tyler, stayed onsite until 7pm, on the phone with everyone one who could help, even after he left he kept in touch with us well into the evening on his own time as well as Matt and Chris who were also doing everything they could to try to expedite the process of getting our power restored up to 11pm. This problem was in no way the fault of Hayter Group, yet they went over and above what they had to do.

Excellent company to deal with - March 2017

Installing a heating system into your home is a significant cost which is why the product and the company you are dealing with is of paramount importance and warrants doing your research.

After my recent experience with the Hayter Group, I would recommend them without reservation. From the home visit to assess my needs (replacing old furnace for geothermal system) to the installation, rechecks and prompt attention to some start up problems, they were very pleasant and professional, prompt and reliable, prepared to answer all queries and provide options. They provided useful brochures for further information re the product and their services.

All the staff I met were friendly and considerate and I felt confident in their skills and knowledge. It was a pleasure doing business with the Hayter Group and it significantly reduces the stress of purchase/installation when you feel you are dealing with a good, reliable company with good business ethics and excellent track record.

I want to let you know about our customer experience with the recent install of our solar panels. First off we are the new “rock stars” in the neighborhood. We have had many questions by friends and neighbors and even people from other neighborhoods.

The process to obtain solar panels is unfortunately very long and very complex. Matt McLean has done an outstanding job from beginning to end, from answering our initial questions, to visiting our location to determine suitability, to providing a quote and on and on. Most of all, Matt and his team did a phenomenal job at stick handling our application through the quagmire of bureaucracy for the several months it took to get the final approval.

The install logistics were coordinated by Kim who had an iron clad grip on all logistics, from the weather forecasts, to meeting the crew who would do the work, and provided the daily updates until all was connected.

These guys made this easy and honestly, we would not have had the perseverance to complete it without them. Matt McLean deserves a raise!
