Why not go completely Green and power it with the Sun?
Even an electric car has a carbon foot-print. When you plug your car in overnight, there is a power plant somewhere producing electricity to recharge your car. Most power plants in Ontario are nuclear, coal or natural gas. If you have solar panels installed on your roof, you can produce enough energy to more than offset the carbon foot-print of your new car.
On a corporate level, Volkswagen of America, has announced its' holistic approach. Starting with the launch of the zero-tailpipe emissions 2015 e-Golf model, Volkswagen will invest in carbon reduction projects to offset emissions created from e-Golf production, distribution and up to approximately 36,000 miles of driving.
